Uwe Rosler’s is setting his sights on Stuart Dallas
UweRosler of Leeds Uited is in the market for a player that can help his team in snatching a higher spot of the English Championship League not only of the next season but for the long term future of his squad.
The German coach has already made a number of signings in this summer transfer window as he has added to his team: Tom Adeyemi, Nicky Ajose, Lee Erwin, Sol Bamba and Chris Wood.
Even with all of the players that Rosley has already secured, the German coach still has his eyes set on a few other performers and Stuart Dallas is one of the players who is on his priority list. (more…)
Leeds United made yet another managerial change
Leeds United made yet another managerial change after appointing former Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler, as the replacement for Neil Redfearn.
The latter was sacked only a few weeks ago after a disappointing end to the campaign. Leeds United failed to get even in the top 10 of the table. They had managed only one win underRedfearn in the last few weeks of the campaign.Redfearn paid the price for this poor form by losing his job. The club owner, Massimo Cellino, has always shown a passion for doing away with managers rather quickly and he appears to have changed little even after taking over at Leeds.
Rosler is widely known for his failed spell with Wigan. He almost got them back into the Premier League in a marathon campaign. However, after failing in the play-offs, Wigan were subsequently relegated to League One at the end of the season. After he had signed a two-year contract with Leeds,Rosler had been looking to bring in assistant manager Rob Kelly. The contract negotiations have finalised and Kelly has been brought in place as the number two at the club.Rosler has failed the influence of Kelly at organising the team. The duo could be working very closely in order to get Leeds back into the Premier League. (more…)
Leeds United’s hopes of ending the season on a positive fashion
Leeds United’s hopes of ending the season on a positive fashion had took a major turn for the worse after the team suffered a third consecutive league defeat this weekend.
A 2-1 loss against Cardiff City, who have been flirting with relegation throughout the campaign, is the latest in yet another disappointing result for the team. In the season that has been filled with controversy and endless managerial changes, Neil Redfearn is confident that the team can finish on a strong note. However, he has called upon much improved performances in the remainder of the campaign.
Since the 3-0 victory over Fulham a few weeks ago, Leeds United have been on a slump in form that has seen them take only one point from a possible 12. Even more disappointing for the manager would be the fact that his team has conceded nine goals in the last three matches. After having taken 52 points from the game so far, Leeds United do not have to worry about the threat of relegation from the Championship. They have a 16 point advantage over Wigan with only four games remaining. Hence, they are mathematically safe but a good run of form could potentially see them jump into the top 10 of the table. Massimo Cellino got Banned
Massimo Cellino is the President of the English League Championship club Leeds United but the Italian entrepreneur was banned from having absolutely anything to do with the club after it was discovered that Cellino was found guilty of tax evasion. The ban was given to Cellino on December 1st of 2014 and extends until April of the current year, even though Cellino made an appeal against this decision it was rejected.
It was however, on January 23rd when Cellino started his ban after his appeal was rejected.
After this tax evasion incident was identified, Cellino was disqualified and not eligible from owning a club.
The 59 year old Italian entrepreneur has now revealed his intentions of not resuming his presidential role at Leeds Uniteds when his Football League ban expires in the summer. In order to comply with the ban that Cellino received, he had to sell a minority share in the club and now he is not the majority shareholder of the club. (more…)
