NO COMPLAINTS

The Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has said that he could not have any complaints about the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Hull City because his team were largely outplayed by a team that were much better. Leeds came into the match against Hull with just two victories in the last three matches, which has halted their promotion aspirations even though the play-off positions. They are currently eighth in the championship table with 38 points on the board, although they can still climbed up to the sixth position because of the small difference. Warnock had admitted that his team could have been beaten by a greater margin.

Warnock tried to utilise a different 5-3-2 formation against Leeds United and it totally did not work from the word go. Warnock also paid tribute to the incredible form experienced by Hull City in recent weeks. Under the management of Steve Bruce, the club has been able to move to the second position in the table just seven points behind leaders Cardiff City. They are on course for promotion back to the Premier league automatically, while Leeds United can hope for the play-off positions at the best. Warnock has said that he does not expect the performance of his players to be repeated in the subsequent matches.

“I think Hull are a one-off, I don’t think there’s another team like them in the league. They are by far the best organised team in the league, they play the same home and away. They have a good squad with decent replacements. I feel the frustration that the fans feel with our squad, but we’re all glad it’s January coming up. I’m trying to get new players in,” said the manager. Warnock is expected to bring in a couple of players, while sending out a few.

TWO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has said that bringing in two players recently has worked in favour of the team because they have made a massive difference to the results of the team. Leeds United brought in the form of QPR manager Neil Warnock in the hope of getting promotion back into the top flight. However, they have been struggling in the Championship in the 16th position. However, recent results have been extremely good for the team, as they have managed two back-to-back victories against top teams like Leicester City and Crystal Palace. Both teams are fighting for promotion from the championship, and Neil Warnock has been extremely delighted following these victories.

The club recently brought in the winger Jerome Thomas and the defender Alan Tate. They have been instrumental in the success of the club. Warnock believes that the club will still be able to mount a challenge for the promotion spot provided they bring in a few more players of this stature in the January transfer window. There are only a few weeks to go before the opening of the transfer window, which will give managers the opportunity to strengthen their squad. The arrival of Alan Tate has strengthened the defence in recent matches.

“The two new players have made a huge difference. We are not that far away. We don`t need to spend major money it`s just an influx of quality players in the right areas. These are two players I have wanted for a long time and they have shown what they can do,” said the manager Neil Warnock in a recent interview. Leeds United recently completed a takeover, which sees the club get new Middle Eastern owners. It remains to be seen if they will splash the cash in January in the hope of getting promotion.

BOLTON EARN DRAW

The Championship match played between Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday has ended in a draw. Both the teams scored two goals each and they had to share the points.

After this draw, Bolton has moved down to no. 16 in the Championship points table. The Trotters have played nine matches in the competition so far out of which the team has won three, lost four and the remaining two have finished without any result. Bolton currently has 11 points in 9 matches.

On the other hand, Leeds has also played 9 matches in the Championship and won four out of them. Leeds has lost three matches, while, the rest two matches have finished without any result.

The Bolton team came into the match with all guns blazing and managed to get ahead pretty early in the match. Kevin Davies was the one who scored the first goal for Bolton in the 14th minute of the match. The goal was set up by Chris Eagles and Davies was quick to capitalize on the opportunity. The English striker headed the ball from a distance of 6 yards into the right hand corner of the net.

Leeds levelled the scores just a minute before the half time break when Samuel Bryan found the back of the net with a header. El-Hadji Diouf was the one who assisted the goal.

Leeds United earned a penalty kick in the 5th minute of the second half. Luciano Becchio took the penalty kick and he placed his shot to perfection. It was a brilliant left footed shot and the ball went past the Peterborough goalkeeper into the bottom corner of the net.

The scores were equalized again in the 79th minute when Kevin Davies scored his second goal in the match.

Neither of the two teams was able to find the net again in the remaining time and the match ended without any result.

Leeds United will play its next match against Barnsley on Saturday.

MORE PLAYERS NEEDED

The Leeds United manager Neil Warnock is expected to jump into the transfer window in order to bring in a few more loan players in order to compensate the injury problems the club has suffered in the first few weeks of the new Championship campaign. Leeds United were one of the club’s expected to be at the top of the table challenging for a promotion spot. However, there are currently in the seventh position after having lost one match and drawn the other in these five fixtures. Leeds United recently signed on the former Blackburn and Bolton winger Diouf, but he is not expected to be the last signing at Ellands road this summer.

Due to the fact that the Premier league club have now submitted the 25 man squad, it has left Neil Warnock with the opportunity to bring in a few more players who have been omitted from these squads. Players who are omitted from the 25 man squad for the Premier league will not have the opportunity to play for their clubs until January. As a result, it makes a lot of sense for the Premier league clubs to send the players out on loan to Championship clubs.

“It’s another blow and I’m really disappointed for him because he’s had a great start to the season. He’ll be looking at three to four weeks so it’s not long-term, but we’ve already lost Paul Green and we’ve got Michael Brown struggling with a hamstring strain as well. We’re looking thin in that area,” said Neil Warnock recently about the injury situation. “If you have some momentum going then you don’t really want a break. But it is what it is and we have to use it to our own advantage,” said the assistant manager of the club, Mick Jones.

WARNOCK EXCITED

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has said that he is extremely happy with the pre-season and is very much looking forward to the start of the new season. Neil Warnock was given the task of getting Leeds United promoted to the Premier league, but he could not make any changes to the team in the final few months after his arrival.

However, the former QPR manager has made some significant changes to the team in the summer transfer window that has seen them gone undefeated in the pre-season so far. Speaking after the 1-0 win over Burton, the manager has said that he is keen to start the new season with this confidence.

The new Championship season will be starting in the next few days and Leeds United will undoubtedly be one of the favourites for the promotion spots. However, this season is going to be extremely tough for promotion in the Championship due to the presence of many high-profile clubs like Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers. Further, the former Premier league clubs like Middlesbrough and Hull city are also likely to be in contention for promotion. Yet, Neil Warnock has seen enough to suggest that Leeds United will be a major contender in the new season.

“The new lads got a game and that was important. And the vibe is great – its almost as if we’ve got Rio Ferdinand signed! You wouldn’t have thought that they were new to the team. They settled in straight away. We’re still lacking a few goals, but we’ve improved every time we’ve played. I thought it was a good work-out, no holds barred and nobody holding back. It’s looking quite promising at the minute,” said the former QPR manager after the 1-0 win over Burton. Leeds United will be taking on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the opening match of the season, which is going to be extremely tough according to the manager Neil Warnock.

LEEDS RECEIVE SNODGRASS BID

Leeds United have acknowledged that they have received a bid from Premier league club Norwich city for the services of midfielder Robert Snodgrass. However, manager Neil Warnock has said that the offer is too low for them to even consider it. Robert Snodgrass has emerged as a real target for the Premier league club, who were looking to stay in the Premier league. It is often acknowledged that the second season is the most difficult to survive in the Premier league. The newly appointed former Birmingham manager Chris Hughton has been looking at various Championship players in such a way that the club will be able to afford their contracts even if they go down.

The 24-year-old Robert Snodgrass, who was recently made the captain of the club by Neil Warnock, is the latest player to be linked with Norwich. Neil Warnock has indeed confirmed that the Premier league club have made an official offer for the player, but they have not considered it due to the fact that it was well below their valuation. Warnock has said that he expects Norwich to come with an improved offer for the 24-year-old midfielder. Warnock has also revealed that he is looking to sign Robert Snodgrass on a long-term deal.

“It’s been made public that they’ve made a bid, but from our point of view it’s not what we’re looking for. It’s difficult when players get their heads turned but I’d like to keep Rob. Ross has got many people who like him, there’s probably five clubs vying for him at the moment. There’s a couple of clubs that have spoken to Aidy. We want him to stay here but have to reach an agreement with his advisors that he’s happy with as well,” said the former QPR manager Warnock regarding the future of Robert Snodgrass.
