Leeds United: Whites’ Stopper Peacock-Farrell Got The Positive Note From Michael O’Neill
Michael O’Neill, the manager of Northern Ireland describes Bailey Peacock-Farrell of Leeds United as “confident and assured” following the young full competitive international debut of goalkeeper. Whites no 1 Peacock-Farrell got its first competitive start for Northern Ireland in the UEFA Nations League hosting of Bosnia on Saturday afternoon, who made a 2-1 win at Windsor Park.
Meanwhile, the Whites stopper too received the praises from O’Neill. He felt the custodian had no option with an opener of Bosnia that Haris Duljevic put through the legs of ’keeper’s. Stuart Dallas of Leeds United also played for the complete 90 minutes.
O’Neill said, “Certainly, Bailey will not be sad to allow two goals during his debut match, but what I felt is he was looking confident and assured”.
He further added that “I was pleased with Bailey. Looking at his performances, it seems that he has well acquitted himself. With the first goal, he had no chance.” Nevertheless, “He seemed very assured and confident in everything that he did. In fact, none of the player’s performance disappointed me. The games we are playing now are going to help us to prepare us for the Euro qualifiers, still we are very much in this competition as well and we are confident too.”
